Facts

I have a nephew. An extraordinary one. This is how I can explain the fact that he likes sleeping at noon. And most of all, in the kindergarten.
I have a terrible craving for baked potatoes.
I started developing a friendship with cats.
I stopped underestimating the power of stupid people.
A soup is tastier if you add some lovage at the end.
Last Sunday I rode a bike. For the first time.
The sweet smell of jasmine tobacco reminds me of my grandmother.

In point of fact,
this isn’t an update.
I wrote while I was trying to act
And not at all to motivate.

Masks

For there's no mask
without the purple blame.
which cuddles into soft erosion,
a wise man whispered in the morning,
in an oblivious, but yet soared motion.

I looked around me.
And at myself.
And realized the stage I'm on.
'cause there's no mirror and no stones.
But only masks to look upon.

I searched for answers
and I was told:
"Despair not at their heavy tone,
and keep your mask forever on".

The Almighty Red

Two people I love: Jennifer Lopez dressed by Michael Kors. All in Vogue.

The stars that fall...

Today I read an interview with Dan Teodorescu - the soloist of Taxi, a Romanian band.
I particularly liked his decency, wittiness and the following answer:

- Do you believe that love lasts forever? Aren't you afraid that one day it will end?

- I have no choice, I must believe in it, I am too afraid of being afraid.

Indecision

Indecision is like being in a cage. Except that there are no bars. Nevertheless, you feel trapped, insecure and scared. The word indecision is in itself scary. Mostly because in front of the word decision you have the preposition in. Well, you do not know what to do and you already are in decision. That has got to be puzzling!

Like salt in food

This children’s story is a token of my youth.
It remembers me of the time when I was little and my mum used to make me read all kind of stories and tell them to her in the evening, while she was cooking dinner for us.
It remembers me of my grandmother. She used to keep sugar and salt in big jars. She liked to use halite for cooking, and indeed her cooking was very tasty.
One time, one of my cousins asked her to make us rice with milk. She started making it, but she had to leave the kitchen and asked my cousin to pour some sugar on the boiling rice.
My cousin took one of the jars and put more sugar than our grandma advised him to.
At the end, when we wanted to eat the dessert, we noticed that it was not sweet, but salty.
Actually, very salty.

Magnificent on a Friday night

U2- Magnificent

I was trapped in my daily thoughts, when this song started playing on my computer. I glanced at myself in the window-pane and so I realized:
Magnificent is
- to survive a whole week of stress;
- to sip champagne from a Martini glass;
- to have ideas bumping around one's head about new paintings, photos, drawings that will inspire even the little ones (to sing, actually);
- to enjoy a Friends episode (even if one has seen that particular episode for at least three times);
- to dream about a future trip to Prague;
- to have popcorn, oranges and ice cream at a hand's distance.

Monemvasia

Monemvasia is a splendid village. You can park your car at its entrance (there is only one entrance to it. In fact, Monemvasia means one entry) and enjoy hiking the narrow streets of the village, and climbing until the well kept walls of a rocky kastro.

Neapolis

A very small and cozy location. We had the best place to stay in Greece, in a hotel right across the beach, called Neapolis Rooms.

From Gythio to Marmaris

This was the most impressive scenery in all Greece. Well, anyway, the Greece we've seen.

Vathia
Very small lovely fortified town. If you are looking for a quiet place to just play idle, this is the perfect place. You can also get some sun on small pebbly beaches around the town.

Marmaris
After a zigzag road, the appearance of a sandy beach can simply be breathtaking. A nice hotel with two or three terraces introduces one to the idea of supreme relaxation.
Word of advice: if you should stay for lunch here, do try the shrimps.
And also- visit Porto Kagio, which as far as 2 miles from Marmaris. The idea of arriving to the end of the world will amaze you.

Gythio

In Gythio I ate the tastiest ever octopus in vinegar. It is a small town, but it is lovely to spend here a day or two.

On the road

From Nafplio to Mystras
A wonderful scenery formed of water, rocks, woods and again rocks. Mystras is a town divided into two: Lower Town and Upper Town, where ruins of an old city can be seen.
